It all started with the plates...

Yes, it was supposed to be a small get together for Victoria, Marissa and two friends.....THEN, I went to the PX and saw these adorable watermelon plates. Victoria absolutely LOVES watermelon! One thing lead to another and we now have a full blown party in the works. Marissa has been out of school this week, so we have been having some fun stamping it up! I made the invitations, and here is Marissa stamping the wrapping paper! (Yep, that's her leg in an ink pad, messy is part of the fun, right?) Colors used: Tulip, Citrus Leaf, Topiary and Black.

Scrap on the Beach....a HUGE success!

My semi annual Scrap on the Beach event was this past Saturday. I'd like to think that it was the best one yet..except for the fact that my camera battery died after I took 2 pictures. I asked everyone to fill out a comment card for me. Here are some of the things they had to say...

*Rose, Just a note of appreciation, what a great event yesterday! Knowing how time consuming and sometimes challenging it is to put together a big event, your SOTB event was fabulous! I had a great time and was glad to meet you and so many other terrific scrappers. Thanks again for a fun day!

*Thanks Rose! You did a terrific job!

*The event was well organized and put together. Thanks for a great day!

*I would definitely attend an event like this again. It was great!

*You did a great job, as usual!

I'll try to post the two photos that I was able to take after I unload the car!

Scrap on the Beach

I wanted to blog about Scrap on the Beach today. SOTB is an event that I started in October, 2006. It's my baby. It's a day where we can all get together and scrapbook without everyday life stopping us! Participants bring whatever projects they are working on, scrap, win random drawing prizes, participate in a mini workshop or two, enter contests if they wish, have dinner served to them at their scrapping station, and make some new friends! SOTB has grown so much over the past three years! I started out with only 15 participants, and now I am up to 50!
If you have attended a SOTB in the past, or you are registered to come this time, leave a comment! I am always open to new ideas, comments and/or questions. The next SOTB is scheduled for Sat. May 23, 2009 from 10 am until 9 pm. You can come and go as you please. The table is yours for the day. For more info, please visit the event website at: http://www.scraponthebeach2006.bravehost.com/
I hope to see you there!

New at this!

Hello Blogging world! I am new to this whole blogging thing, but thought I would give it a try. Please try to bear with me. Hopefully, in a few weeks I will be able to laugh at myself for how difficult I thought this whole blog thing was!
